HELLO

       My name is Jane. Having been born and spending growing years in England, being raised amidst the diverse landscapes of South Africa, and also having lived in Kenya, I have been captivated by a mysterious sense of place and the interplay between the sky and the horizon wherever I am. ​Now living in the American Midwest, I am inspired by the rolling farmlands, the powerful serenity of the north shore, and the many lakes we have in Minnesota. ​My work is not about replicating the world as it appears, but rather about capturing its essence and its impact on our inner lives.

            As well as painting and drawing, needlecraft is a way that I extend my soul into made items. Working with natural fibers, the slow process of stitching has become a valuable form of meditation.
