My name is Jane.

Having been born and spending growing years in England, being raised amidst the diverse landscapes of South Africa, and also having lived in Kenya, I have been captivated by the interplay between landscape and sky.

Now living in the American Midwest, I am inspired by the rolling farmlands, the powerful serenity of the north shore, and the many lakes we have in Minnesota.

During the summer of 2021, amidst the global pandemic, my family and I sought solace on the waters of Lake Minnetonka. The vast expanse of sky and water mirrored the profound isolation and resilience we all experienced, prompting me to explore more deeply the intrinsic connection between the elements.

Drawn to the harmonious interplay of sky, land, light and water, I began painting minimalist landscapes. My work is not about replicating the world as it appears, but rather about capturing its essence and its impact on our inner lives.
